Blue Space Barili - Our New Years Trip
Sharing with you all our story during our trip to Blue Space Barili Cebu
We went to Blue Space Barili on January 2, 2021, to celebrate the new year and to have a bonding moment with my cousins. Since I studied HRM so I have a little bit of knowledge in making our itinerary. I reserved 1 day only as we have other plans that day.
So here are some of the things that I did to make this trip happen.
1. I book our reservation firstly since Blue Space Barili will not accommodate walk-in guests. The reason is to follow government protocol on how many guests they can accommodate. Once I am done with the reservation I proceeded in packing our personal staff such as clothes, toothbrushes, sunblock, swimming wear, and more.
2. Since the food that Blue Space offered was quite pricey I decided to bring our own food.
Our Theme is " Boodle Fight" A boodle fight is a meal that dispenses with cutlery and dishes. Diners instead practice kamayan or kinamot, Filipino for "eating with the hands".January 1: Planning of our Itinerary
January 2: We wake up early as we need to buy pork to marinate. We were thinking to have a samgyupsal as our menu for our "Boodle Fight" We decided to buy fish at Barili Public Market as we want to buy it fresh.
We wake up - 5:00Am - 6:00Am went to the Market to buy our Food. Then, when we got home we still have 2 hours to spare as we are still waiting for my siblings to arrive by 9:00Am as they will ride with us.
While we are waiting for my siblings I decided to slice all the vegetables instead of wasting the time waiting for them, I was planning that we just need to cook the pork and the fish when we arrive there. (Fewer Utensils to bring also๐ ๐) It is from about 6:30Am to 7:30Am - when I marinated the Pork and slices the vegetables.
I decided to take a bath after I am done in the kitchen. By the time I am finished having my business, my sister texted me that they are near. So, what we did is, we just simply grab all the bags and Tupperware and loaded it into the car then proceed to head south. My siblings waited for us in Naga City as they came from San Remigio.
Around 9:20 we arrived at Naga City then we proceed directly to the South. When we arrived at Barili around 10:15 Am we stop to buy "Chooks to go" to add it to our menu, then we proceed to buy the fish - 4kilos.
We arrived around 11:00Am at Blue Space Barili, it was not easy to go there as some of the roads are not cemented and are also very hard to get through as the road is not wide enough.
So, when we arrive at Blue Space we look for a parking space outside Blue Space Barili as they only allow you to park in their parking area if you're an in-house guest. Luckily, we were guided by an old woman, she is very nice to us. She offered us a parking space for 10pesos/hour. It is located across Blue Space Resort.
When we finally park the car safely we went to walk going to Blue Space then we went to the front desk and then ask for our reservation, and luckily my cousin settles all the check-in etiquette.

So we headed to our cottage and then we start preparing our food right away as we are all hungry as it is almost 12noon. My cousin and sister prepare the table while the other cooks the pork and the fish.

Boodle Fight
When we are done eating, the kids together with my brother and cousins went to check the floating cottages to check if it is manageable to swim there, because the weather is not good and the pool is useless as they do not allow anyone to use the pool. Were not lucky enough when we go there as the weather prevents us from having fun. Only, the good thing is we're still able to bond, that is all that matters most to us. The ambiance is just an add-on for us. ๐๐
